Does anyone know a good school that teaches poi in the Los Angeles area? I just cant find anyone and its to hard to learn online.

Longest burning fuel?

Hi, I have fire fingers but they go out within an avarage of 2.5 minutes and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on fuel as far as longer burning time. I use White gas now and have tried lamp oil and Grain alcohol but so far white gas seems to burn the longest, which I think the longest burn I have had was 3 minutes, ugh.... it's frustrating. Outside of adding more Kevlar is there any other suggestions?

Wanting to learn Poi

Hi, my name is Aengus, I have been wanting to learn poi and other fire-manipulation techniques for a long time. Anyone in the Los Angeles area teaching? Or, anybody have good self-teaching methods?

figured i'd break the ice

im from the midwest, got a yr left of graphic design school then probably gonna transplant to oregon.

im in the process of learning poi-hope to have fire on my wicks by our spring regional burn event.
